A STAGE ISN’T A CLASSROOM AND THAT’S THE POINT.

Sounds of LA County gives teens from county park communities a seat inside a real, working production: 27 parks, free concerts, and a live crew to shadow. This is the activation piece tied to Our Spot teen center outreach funding, connecting directly with teen centers at each participating park.

SKILLS A SIMULATION CAN’T TEACH

Load-in, sound check, artist coordination, and crowd flow move fast and change on the fly, teens learn to problem solve in real time, not a mocked up version of it.

STAKES THAT ARE ACTUALLY REAL

This isn’t a hypothetical event, we are allowing teens interested in event production and entertainment to witness a real project being rolled out in real time, within LA County Parks.

NOT JUST OBSERVATIONS, BUT MENTORSHIP

Teens have the possibility to work alongside working park supervisors, AV techs, and marketing staff, direct exposure to live-entertainment careers most never see up close

REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE FOR TEENS ENTERING THE WORKFORCE

Internship hours become a resume credential and real life experience for teens who might not normally be exposed to production event work.
